'mysql daemon already running' help req.

I'm running xandros 4 sp1.

XAMPP installed without issue, very slick in fact.

Only problem I have is getting the topic title error 'mysql isalready running'.

Where and how do I stop this?

Can I stop it running at start up? ( or stop it altogether unless invoked from XAMPP?

can I run XAMPP on start up and how? (without using console CLI)
