Multi Processor Server

Postby davidwaizer » 17. October 2006 15:21

Hello!

I installed XAMPP on a suse 10.0 box with 8GB of RAM and 2 XEON processors.

The problem that MYSQLD is using only one processor instead of all four. Is there any way that I can enable (or download a different version) Mysql to use all the processors on the box?

Thank you for your help!

Hello!

Yes, my.cnf accepted that variable, BUT... for what i have been reading, MYQLD will not use all the prcessors unless the mysqld version has been compiled to use multiple processor, so I guess my question is:
Has the xampp MYSQL been compiled to support multiple processors? I have no way of knowing since I only downloaded the binaries.

BTW, im using XAMPP Linux 1.5.4a

thanks a lot for your help!!
