Dear:
I download the XAMPP for Linux and it start was OK.
I add Chinese words in the MYSQL and it appears was incomprehensible.
I find Google and it said set my.cnf.
I try it but not right.

add in the my.cnf
[mysql]
default-character-set=big5


XAMPP Version:
XAMPP for Linux 1.4.15
MySQL 4.1.13

How can I do?

Change the default character set to UTF-8
