Turn Off Page TAG?

Postby max11max » 27. July 2006 23:52

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to turn off the page tag showing all the version numbers ?
Code: Select all
"Apache/2.2.2 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.2 OpenSSL/0.9.8b PHP/5.1.4 mod_apreq2-20051231/2.5.7 mod_perl/2.0.2 Perl/v5.8.7 Server at 10.168.0.10 Port 80"

I managed it in an early version but am unable to find where to turn it off now that httpd.conf has been split up :(

Thanks for quick reply,

I dont have the apache directory on my system but found the file in /opt/lampp/etc/extra/httpd-default.conf and changed the ServerSignature to OFF

I like the new xampp but WHY! split up the httpd.conf ? V-Confusing with the includes??? Also have many permissions problems with this version. More than the older version I was using but I guess thats another topic.

Thanks again,

max.

Sorry. We are in the XAMPP/Linux and not in XAMPP/Win. My misstake.

but WHY! split up the httpd.conf

Ask the Apache developer from the Apache Software Foundation ;-)
