to xampp developers: need help compiling the xampp packadges

Hello,

Xampp is very slow on my machine. I have OpenSuse 10.1 (who includes php 5 and apache 2.x, but dont use this web setup) and I use Xampp 1.4.16 because I need php 4.4.x nd mysql 4 for my developement.

Probably if I compile the packadges in my box the perfomance will increase.
Other suggestions ?

I need help to compile the packadges (Apache+php + mysql) inside xampp.
Where I can find the scripts that compile everything ?
I have see the directory "build" but no understand how to use it !

Download the XAMPP-DEV package

with that you can compile anything for xampp into own xamppsystem

the configures for all included software in XAMPP for Linux can be found at:

/opt/lampp/share/lampp/configures.tar.gz
