Setting up a testing server with XAMPP

Hi, I am new here and totally new to the whole Linux scene -so go easy on me.

Let me keep it short:
1. I have installed Suse10.1
2. I have installed XAMPP and everything works correctly
3. I have even got XAMPP to start up on reboot correctly
4. I have set up SAMBA share so i can browse the Linux Machine with my windows machines and visa versa- So i can upload files to the htdocs as a testing server.

* Question how do view whats on the linux testing server now from my windows machine.?
I have tried http://192.168.0.20 (linux ip address) and http://localhost, but nothing displays from the windows side.

I figure it may have something to do with the apche config file, but not sure what lines and how to change it

Any help will give me more sleep.

SuSE installed a Firewallsystem, check it and open TCP-Port 80

- from Windowsmashine is http://192.168.0.20
- http://localhost only from the Linuxsystem

Thank you, I just disabled the firewall for now, when i have time I will try do what you explained. it works now. sweet.

Can I be cheeky and ask another question:
I want to manage a few sites under the htdocs folder

eg
htdocs/website1/
htdocs/website2/
htdocs/website3/
and so on.

What is the best way to manage these folders on the testing server so that i don't have to keep deleteing old website files when i am working on a new site in htdocs.

Bear in mind that my site links are relative to the site root.

Is there someway I can configure this in the http.config file for each site I am working on - almost like virtual hosts? or must this be done in Dreamweaver in the site manager?
