How to change Apache port (from default 80 --> something)

Hi there.... I need to change XAMPP httpd port since 80 is needed somewhere else. If I use the port and listen options in /opt/lampp/etc/httpd.conf the links are broken, I have moodle, phpBB and mediawiki under apache2 and looking for a way to use another port, for example 8000.

Did you remember to change your router settings as well to allow access on port 8000?

Yes, I did :-)

I realise now that maybe the problem is in moodle html-code, since there are no relative links but the whole URL http://server.domain.com/moodle/.... and that is why the new port will not work. But how to solve this, editing the html-source is not an option since I could have hundreds of moodle courses on my server (which I do not have, obviously...), there has to be some other solution?
