I've just downloaded xampp 1.52 and installed it. Everything seemed to be working until I tried to execute a small login program to test things. When I run this program i am getting the following error :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /opt/lampp/lib/php/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 373

This program runs fine on another m/c running 1.51. I assume i've made a mistake somewhere during installation etc. can someone point me in the right direction

ok seem to have resolved the problem (not quite sure how) but things seem to be working.
