how do i setup an ftp account on that ftp server provided with xampp?

yeah, but also this can't help me out... i need to write to a proftpd.conf file but that one is in the opt dir so i need the admin rights...

well i placed my conf file ready to copy in the home dir but how do i copy it to /opt/lampp/etc?
