Can't create/write to file '/root/tmp/ ... ... ...

I'm having several errors with databases and all similar

#1 - Can't create/write to file '/root/tmp/#sql_10fa_0.MYI'
Can't create/write to file '/root/tmp/#sql_10fa_0.MYI

etc .

This is happening right from the instalation of xampp, it´s not a result of a lot of messing around

Any idear what´s happening??

HOW could I guess that that folder was needed?!!!!!!

Look the good side of things, now this post exists so that no one like me will ever make this question again

yes /root/tmp is needed and chmod it to 777

I chmod that folders to 777 and .... after some time I have the same problem
