Deleted Privileges Table

Postby samdlacey » 17. March 2006 22:40

Hi all, firstly may I say thankyou for a great project. After weeks of wrestling with phpmyadmin and mysql in general I found XAMPP and got going in ten minutes no problems!

However, 10 minutes in I did something really stupid. I tried to change the passwords on the root and <hostname> fields which inadvertantly deleted the entire privileges table. Now I can't access phpMyAdmin at all and i really need it.

I am running SUSE 10.0 with XAMPP programs in /opt/...

Any help on rectifying the situation would be greatly appreciated.

Also sorry to hassle you with this but I have spent hours on google looking for a solution to no avail and I'm on quite a tight timeline.

Thanks in advance

Sam

If you've just gotten started, it might be easiest to just delete and reinstall xampp.
