XAMPP for Linux 64 bits Version ?

Hello,

I wish to know if there are plans to release a XAMPP with full 64 bits support for the Linux x86_64 platform.

As we know, we can enhace Apache and MySQL performance, compiling their binaries to a 64 bits platform.

Thought i read somewhere that even PHP could be enhaced to the 64 bits platforms.

Is there a plan for this?

Thanks,

Yg!

It will be superb if Apachefriends releases a 64 bit version of XAMMP.

Compiling from source (using the standard XAMMP source files) in a 64 bit platform (i.e. AMD64), is just enough? Do we need some specific source files?

Thanks for this great project!!!

Nto enough....

It is not enough compiling from source.... the 64 bit sources of both Apache and MySQL are different from the 32 bit sources indeed...

...and of course, there are other optimizations that we can do for 64bit platform instead of ony compile time optimizations... like some Apache Confs and etc...

It will be nice to have such port...!

I would really appreciate a port for AMD 64 bits. I tried to compile all from source, but i just can't get all working together.

Are there any plans for a port? Do you know other LAMP packages with 64 bit support?
