Hello!

I'm having all sorts of problems trying to get mod_gzip working with xampp.

Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to install it and get it working?

Use "mod_deflate" instead.

ok... but why you say

in XAMPP 1.4.15 is Apache2 running, nothing else.
