Slow FTP connection!

Hi all!
I'm having a little trouble with LAMPP installed over Fedora Core....

When I remotely connect to the server's FTP I get a very slow answer. And so for every kind of LIST or STORE command. Looks like the system goes idle before answering. Is it a bug?

I remember that with RedHat 9 there was a "slow answer bug" in MYSQL. I know they are different things...

How can I improve things?

You can add

IdentLookups                    off
UseReverseDNS                   off

to your "proftpd.conf". Maybe this help...
