What would you say the best Linux is for XAMPP?

-Easy

Also, can XAMPP run on FreeBSD?

Damn Small Linux

The whole OS is only ~50MB and very easy to install and update, if you use frugal install.

I use XAMPP on Mepis, which is Debian-based. It's fast and easy. I only use it for local development and testing, and have a router with a firewall, so I can't comment on whether it's secure.

If his article is helpful to find the right distribution for his needs, i think this is okay.
I don't think his article detailed enough for that, but thats maybe only my point of view.

For Linux Webserver i use CentOS. I have tried Ubuntu Server too, but i simply like my CentOS :D

We can agree on Centos (as that is what I use too) :D

You will find our friend also posted a link to another ages old thread - again pointed to the same site. Those are the total of his posts. To me its SEO gaming likley, or points for posts.

Just my opinion, also :P
