pointing to JBoss with mod_jk

Problems with the Linux version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

pointing to JBoss with mod_jk

Does anyone know how to use the mod_jk in XAMPP to point to JBOSS?
Do I have to use the development version of XAMPP?
do I have to install JBoss in the same directory as XAMPP?
Will this require a rebuild of XAMPP?
I have a lot of questions but if someone has done it I would appreciate a walk-through.

I haven't really started using XAMPP yet but I wish I would have found it before spending 40 + man hours trying to get php and mysql to work. When I finally gave up my last message was that there where no headers in MySQL so the install of PHP5 gave up.
Any time you have to do a one hour configuration task you can count on it taking 20 or more when you finally download and install all of the dependancies.

I will try that solution although I don't know how to do any of it since I am kinda new to Linux and my system isn't set up with all of the dependent packages for a lot of things. I will post my questions when I get lost again.
Thanks for all the hard work you all put into providing XAMPP I have been looking for something like this for a while now.
