I just did a fresh install of the newest Fedora Core version 4 and downloaded XAMPP for linux then ran the command to install XAMPP ( sudo tar xvfz xampp-linux-1.4.13.tar.gz -C /opt)
It installed with no error's....
I then attempted to start XAMPP and got the following error's
[root@localhost admin]# sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start

XAMPP for Linux started.
[root@localhost admin]# sudo tar xvfz xampp-linux-1.4.13.tar.gz -C /opt
I would think that the newest Fedora Core 4 OS and the XAMPP would have no trouble starting out of the box but they dont seam to start on this server. I have installed XAMPP on many FC3 servers and never had this problem before.
I have no idea what error 127 is.
