Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Its been a while since I've had apache on my server, but I have just installed xampp. Apache won't start... I seem to remember having a port confilict previously but can't remember what it was. What port does apache use by default, and can this be changed?
I am running windows 2000 server.

OK, I found out that apache is trying to bind to port 443 which is being used by the Inetinfo.exe which is part of the MS Server Internet Information Services
Can I change the port apache is trying to use?
Will I have the same problem with MySQL?

OK, I found where to change the port number to... by editing the httpd.conf file
It is set to Listen:80
Why is it trying to bind to port 443?
Both 80 and 443 are used by the inetinfo.exe

Is is not easier then to deinstall IIS and use only Apache?
--> you will not have problems with ports (port 80/443 are the default ports for webservers)
