XAMPP for INTRAnet and INTRA company email - Possible?

Hi y'all!

this looks like a great piece of software that could be used for Intranet and intra company email. Is this so or did I miss something?

If this is the case is there an instruction or FAQ /documentation available to see how complex this is before downloading this file?

Anyone with experience in similar application? I wish to use it on an intranet separated from the web and run several applications like dotproject and related.

If it can be used as an intranet can it also be accessed by out of network users such as clients and share project status and related for a small company of 50 people?
