Database disappearance in xampp from wordpress

Hello, I have been using xampp for years to test WordPress add-ons on my own computer.

Recently, the database disappeared for the first time. It is visible in the backup folder. However, it cannot be restored from a backup or anywhere else.

Even after restoring, I want to reinstall the website (Wordpress) and, additionally, even when I try to do so, the database is damaged.

Could this be due to bad closing of xmapp - or maybe some add-on?

The more important question is how to protect yourself from this, since the backup in xampp is also bad.

Should I do it manually from time to time?
