Error: MySQL shutdown unexpectedly

Postby JIMMYRAZ » 25. October 2023 02:36

Whenever we try to start MySQL it crashes and stops. It was working fine the other day.

9:31:34 PM [mysql] Status change detected: stopped
9:31:34 PM [mysql] Error: MySQL shutdown unexpectedly.
9:31:34 PM [mysql] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
9:31:34 PM [mysql] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
9:31:34 PM [mysql] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
9:31:34 PM [mysql] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
9:31:34 PM [mysql] If you need more help, copy and post this
9:31:34 PM [mysql] entire log window on the forums

WINDOWS:
The description for Event ID 100 from source MariaDB cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If we wanted to uninstall could we just delete the XAMPP folder? Does this make changes outside the folder?

yes, with some exceptions:
- if you used the installer version, there are files and registry keys for the uninstaller, startmenu, etc.
- if you registered any windows services to autostart any of the components, there are registry entries for them too.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
