there is probem with your TCP/IP perhaps.
if you are on 9X, please upgrade to NT

I don't realy think thats an Help, do you?
Try the following:

Search for an LMHOSTS File on your System.
and enter something like this:

localhost 127.0.0.1

try it, might work? Not sure though, haven't worked with an Win9X client in Ages
