Xampp problem when shutting down

Postby sinergyinaction » 17. November 2022 13:25

Hi,
each time I press the 'Quit' button form the Controller application for xampp 7.4.30, in windows 10, instead of it shutting down graciously I receive the following messages:

"Error: cannot create file D:\xampp-7-4-30\xampp-control.ini" Access denied

and another dialog appears as well, with following message:

"Exception EAccess Violation in module xampp-control.exe at 0025B292
Access violation at address 0065B292 in module xampp-control.exe. Read of address 00000042"

and I have to kill xampp by myself in order to shut it down.
This also happens with xampp 7.4.29 but doesn't happen with earlier versions....
Any ideas about how to fix this?
Cheers

Run the xampp control panel with elevated administrator rights (rightclick -> run as Administrator)
Alternatively you can simply delete the xampp-control.ini. It will get recreated with next control panel start but with write permissions.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
