Error using mysql_upgrade

Hello,

I'm using the portable version of XAMPP 7.4.29, and have it placed at C:\Xampp, Control Panel Version: 3.3.0.
I can start apache no problem. Then start mysql no problem.
I open cmd prompt and move to "C:\xampp\mysql\bin".
Then type "mysql_upgrade".

I get this error:
FATAL ERROR: Could not open or create the upgrade info file '\\xampp\\mysql\\data\\mysql_upgrade_info' in the MariaDB Servers data directory, errno: 2 (No such file or directory)

Can someone advise how to fix this?
