Hi,

What is the output of phpinfo()?
Did you edit the correct php.ini?
Did you edit the php.ini at the correct spot?
Did you restart Apache after the change?

You have a wrong understanding of that option. If it is set to "On", PHP does output buffering automatically for all scripts. But if it is set to "Off", it only means, that PHP does not do it automatically. But any script can still do output_buffering on its own. Thats what Joomla does. You have to edit Joomla, if you dont want output buffering.

That option does NOT prohibit output buffering.

Joomla's installation wizard checks for recommend settings. one of them is to set output_buffering to off. I am sure the question is related to that.

Maybe. Actually, that "description" is one of the worst ever. Not the slightest usefull information. All we "know" is - Joomla. But I dont use Joomla, i dont know Joomla, and this is not a Joomla forum. We do not support 3d party tools like Joomla. And everything, what we *should* now (operating system, which Apache/PHP installation, which php.ini etc.pp.) is not told.

I cannot do anything further, good luck.
