XAMPP Install taking hours

So, I'm completely new to this forum and community and I'm installing XAMPP for the first time on Windows 10 using the most current version of XAMPP 7.4.28 , 8.0.17 , 8.1.4. The installation process does not seem to complete itself. I think I waited over 2 hours for the installation to complete and I basically just gave up and canceled it.

Is there something I'm not doing right or something I need to do in order for the installation to complete itself?

Thanks for any help and I apologize for my ignorance if this is something so simple that I'm just completely missing...

which step of the installation takes that long?

you can also use the zip or 7z version of xampp. simply extract the zip or 7z file and execute the setup_xampp.bat script after that.

So to answer your question. I have included an image below: When it gets to this point, it will begin to unpack the files but it will never compete the install. Instead I just see this screen and nothing more happens. I waited for over 2 hours thinking it might complete but nothing..... Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any help....
