XAMPP enable WSS websockets possible/how?

Total noob to this topic, so bear with me.
I am running a ws websocket service next to xampp. If I am correct (according to google) I need to do something in XAMPP so the service can use the certificates I have installed for Apache and run as wss (secure websocket)? Does anybody know how to set this up/ what to edit? I don't understand the logic.

Well for what I have read about the topic Xampp needs to proxy the WS ports in order to use the server certificate? I need people to go to wss://myip.com:xxxx. And myip.com is a xampp server with a certificate.
Am I wrong?
