phpMyAdmin crash

Postby Chappuis » 01. January 2022 11:58

Hello
I have had a problem for a while with phpMyAdmin 5.1.1 and PHP 8.1.1
When I want to find login, he gives me lots of "deprecated" messages:

Deprecation Notice in .\vendor\twig\twig\src\Loader\FilesystemLoader.php#40
realpath(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($path) of type string is deprecated

Backtrace

.\vendor\twig\twig\src\Loader\FilesystemLoader.php#40: realpath(NULL)

I'm desperately looking for a solution but can't find anything.
I also looked in gitsub and found nothing of value.

Thank you in advance for helping me!
Do I have to go back down with php 8.0 or even with 7.4?

The file \vendor\twig\twig\src\Loader\FilesystemLoader is not part of PHPMyAdmin, it is part of Drupal. I dont understand your request at all.

I didn't know, but that said I get lots of messages when logging in phpMyAdmin.

I partially solved the problem by modifying the php.ini
with error_reporting = E_ALL & ~ E_DEPRECATED

Thank you for the help and happy new year!

Actually i could find a hint that that this package also is delivered with PHPMyadmin 5.1.1 - and indeed, there is a conflict with PHP 8.

First of all, that is NOT a crash, its a "note" only and it should not affect PhpMyAdmin. You either can simply ignore the message, of (if it bothers your), you can switch off error reporting in php.ini. You wont get any error message after. See also https://suay.site/?p=1908

Last not least you may also upgrade PhpMyAdmin to 5.2, which solves the issue.
