Hello,

I have just installed the program under windows your latest version, the installation is ok.

But each time the program is closed, it crashes. I have to force it through the task manager.

Do you have a solution ?

due to a workaround to close a security vulnerability (https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2020-11107) the xampp.control.ini is read only for normal users.
Because you start the control panel in your users scope the control panel itself cannot save its own configuration.

To solve the problem you need to start the control panel with enhanced administrator rights (rightclick -> run as administrator)

I have the same problem and your solution to run with enhanced administrator is OK if there are changes to ini-file.
But if there are no changes, there is no need to write to the ini-file and thus avoiding the problem.

In 99% of the cases you will run the control program just to stop and start using a shortcut to access it.
Pls fix this.
