When starting Apache I get HTTPD.exe System error API-MS-Win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll .
I am hoping to use nuBuilder ultimately, but have limited system software skills.

Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 und 2019 (x64)

Installed C++ runtime without issue. Get following when starting Apache in XAMPP control panel

Please try to start Apache by double clicking the apache_start.bat file and tell us what it responses.

Some German, Please close this command, only for shutdown.
Apache 2 is starting.

Same error CRT runtime missing.

I uninstalled XAMPP and re-installed it with admin permissions, as suggested in error message. No change, still get above message when starting Apache.

Well, you can try to reinstall XAMPP a million times. It will still not work without a successful installation of the correct Visual C++ Runtime.
And because you still get this error means XAMPP cannot find this Runtime. Simple as it is. There is no other reason for this.

I did download and install the c++ runtime you specified. It helped in that several catastrophic errors stopped occurring, but the crt runtime missing error continues. Should I try to install an earlier version of XAMPP?

This seems like a dead end. Pity.
