cannot extract the downloaded xampp 8.0.6 or 7.4.19

I get the thinking hour glass for a few seconds then nothing.
At no stage does a window pop up with any options.
I have created an exception for my antivirus for the folder that I installed the installer in.
I am running Windows 10 and using Kaspersky anti virus.
I'm really hoping to get a fix so I can learn how to create a virtual host for a wordpress website.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
