xampp looking in incorrect folder for apache & MySQL

How do I fix this? There is no L directory on my computer. XAMPP is installed on E drive.

You already have a Windows Service "APACHE" (or "APACHE2") installed on your computer (which points to L:....). Windows Services are part of the Windows Setup. You should go into the Services dialog and delete the Apache service. If you dont know how to edit Windows services, ask in a Microsoft Windows support forum, as that is not a Xampp issue.

Same problem for MySQL, there is already a "MYSQL" service in your Windows Services, you should delete that either.

You probably once had a Xampp installation on L:, but did not uninstall it fully (you only deleted the files and folders, but missed the Windows Services).

The problem is that there are registered services left.

Nobbie cannot know that Windows does not provide a possibility to unregister services in the services dialog, because he uses Linux only.

Please unregister the service for Apache and MySQL in your Windows cmd (started with elevated administrator rights: rightclick -> run as administrator)
