Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

localhost

Hi
As a lock-down activity I've been building a website for my wife's business (teaching myself as I go along).
I've run into what seems to me to be a weird problem.
As part of the continuing development of the site I was editing a "back" button on one of the web pages.
It gets integrated into the relevant web page via JavaScript pulling in a backButton.html file.
This is so that in theory I only have to edit the link once instead of for each of the pages which make use of it.
I edited the html file but the xampp localhost insists on referring to the old file even though in this version of the website directory the file does not exist.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem. As far as I can tell I've been doing my editing sensibly, but my intuition may be wrong.
Thanks.

Hi,

Most commonly this is a browser cache issue.
In such situations you can reload the page by pressing the the keys CTRL+F5 or SHIFT+F5
or clearing the browser cache in your browser settings.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

Thanks for the helpful reply.
It could also be due to me being a bit of a dingus and having () in the directory name!

All the best
