Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly

Hi,

I downloaded XAMPP on Windows.

When I try to start Apache in the XAMPP Control Panel it shuts down. And when I try to run MySQl, it says it's attempting to start and just sits there for a long time.

This is what it looks like when I try to run both Apache and MySQL.

How do I get it up in running? What should I do in this case?

Hi,

Trying to start Apache with script apache_start.bat should bring you more messages about this issue.
