Apache mod_rewrite/URL rewriting issue

I am using xampp control panel v3.2.4 64 bit.
I am not sure if i am saying the right things.
My url in the browser for any page need to have index.php before the actual pageMy for an menuMy item ie index.php/menuMy/pageMy. On another pc using wamp for localhost, there is no indexphp required.
How can i make it without index.php? Is it something to do with enabling SEF rewrite on the site? How do i do it with xampp? Thanks guys.
