Another sudden MySQL shutdown unexpectedly (MariaDB)

Worked yesterday, PC shutdown normally, next day MySQL error. According to Windows 10 log, no Windows updates had been installed.
Windows 10 Pro 1909, xampp-windows-x64-7.4.1-0-VC15

Nothing is blocking port 3306, deleted C:\xampp\mysql\data\aria_log.00000001 but didn't help.
MySql/MariaDB is installed as service via Xampp Control 3.2.4.

HELP! Hopefully there's a solution without restoring backups or new install.

I found a solution, might help someone in the future. I deleted these all the files that showed up in the error message manually from the /mysql/data/ folder and then it worked again.

E.g. deleted files looking like this:

But KEEP the other files like:

Unfortunately, it's not working properly. When I start mysql via Xampp Controll panel then I get the problems again - also if I install/start it as a service via Xampp Control.
I can get it running from command line with this:

mysqld –-console –-skip-grant-tables –-skip-external-locking

Since this seems to override some default settings which you normally won't do....maybe someone has an idea why mysql is not running anymore when starting via Xampp...
