A load of error messages pop up when I try quit button

Every time I try to leave xampp control panel using quit a shed load of error messages pop up such as exception access violation in module xampp-control.exe at 0025b2ae
Why am I getting these messages. I can get out if I just click on 'x' at upper right hand corner of screen.

I had the same problem and found a solution that worked for me. This is copy pasted from stackoverflow, posted by user Abner Samuel.

First, your user must have administrator permission.

Second, install Xampp outside of "program files", preferably install in C:\xampp (It usually comes with this by default).

Third, after installation (Before running Xampp), go to the C:\xampp directory, look for xampp-control.exe, right click on it, go to "properties" go to the "compatibility" tab and then check the "run as administrator" option.
