Problem with httpd.exe

Postby leonardo.carvalho » 01. April 2020 19:59

Greetings everyone

I have a student using XAMPP on a Windows 7 O.P.

He has XAMPP v3.2.4 properly installed on his computer. However, when he starts his Apache Server for the first time his httpd.exe file dissappears from his apache/bin folder. Hence, XAMPP disables his start button and shows only the message bellow:

"18:32:57 [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
18:32:57 [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
18:32:57 [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
18:32:57 [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
18:32:57 [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues"

The log error was empty when I checked.

He uses Windows defender as anti-virus and the file is not being sent to quarentine.

I couldn´t find any other reason for this behavior and have not seen this behavior before.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you in advance
