Database won't start

I can get Apache to start but MySQL keeps crashing when I try and start it. I was trying to rename a Database when it crashed and now it won't start again

This is what is in my event log if it helps



The description for Event ID 100 from source MySQL cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

I just downloaded a new version of xamp and started from scratch but it would be nice if the old one worked again
