When I try to install xampp, it says things will go wrong because of user account control (UAC), and tells me to change the directory for installation, but gives no opportunity to change that directory.
What do I do?

Weird.
Normally it does not say that it WILL go wrong (could you show a screenshot with that warning?), it says that it CAN go wrong. At next, yes, normally you can change the installation directory. Are you sure, you cannot?! Never seen that before (again)?!

I plodded on, and it seems to have worked.
It just seemed odd to ave a warning with no possible remedy offered.
I suspect i will be back with more dumb questions very soon.
