mysqli extension is missing

Postby BarryS_AZ » 09. November 2019 22:28

I'm getting the same error when attempting to run phpMyAdmin: "The mysqli extension is missing".

I've been running XAMPP (7.3.11?) on Windows 10 for the last few months. Today I ran an "HP Update", which installed these updates:

- HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors)
- Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver
- Intel Virtual Buttons Driver
- Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver
- Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client Driver

After that update (and a reboot), I started to get the phpMyAdmin startup error, and have been unable to get rid of it. I de-installed and re-installed XAMPP -- first the latest version (7.3.11), then the next older rev (7.2.24). Also installed the C++ Redistributable 2015 library. So far, nothing has solved the problem.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Barry
