Installing Joomla localhost with Xampp 7.3.6

Hi All,
I have installed XAMPP for windows 10 x64 and I have also setup a password for phpMyAdin database.

I have added in htdocs the joomla cms version 3.9.6. In localhost/domain name the Joomla installation page opened and I have filled out all the information.

However after I click on the Install button the installation starts, up to a point and then it hangs up and does nothing for hours.

Can you please help? is there something I am not doing correct? or it is not possible to install Joomla on XAMPP localhost?
