Password input box has password entered

After reinstalling Xampp, my html login forms now have the password input box, already completed with the password instead of being blank. I have set the value to "", but the password is still there. As the reason for the password is security, it is now defeating it with the password already there. Anyone know how to make the password input box blank instead of having the password already entered?

I would guess this is a browser saved password issue.
So simple solution: clear your saved passwords in your browser settings.

Altrea, Yes indeed it is a browser caused issue. Besides as you said clearing existing passwords, there is also a setting to not save passwords, both which I have done and the problem is gone. Thanks,
