XAMPP - Errors with MySQL & phpMyAdmin

Hello,

Just finished setting up XAMPP, changed some settings for the MySQL & XAMPP services (changed port 3306 to 3307 for the purposes of SQL) as 3306 was in use already by another app.

When trying to load lcoalhost/phpmyadmin i get these errors:
mysqli_real_connect(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [caching_sha2_password]
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2054): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
mysqli_real_connect(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [caching_sha2_password]
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2054): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

Haven't really amended much so I don't see how it isn't working? Any help would be massively appreciated.

Did you tell phpmyadmin too how the new connection port to MariaDB is now?
