httpd-vhosts adding a second website

First let me admit I have been battling this issue for more than a week searching for answers online without luck.

I used the example they have near the bottom of this file, even if I use only my working website apache will not run.
I tried using it on the website I wish to ass, also same problem, apache won't run.
I used 2 other versions I found online and they were also fails.

I did for the record change my hosts file with both websites on it.

When I try load in the url of the website I want to add, what happens is the existing website comes up by default.
However if I type in example.com/folder, then the new site works.

I am an old fart, trying to add a blog, slow learner maybe, but would sure appreciate if someone would guide me as to what I am doing wrong.

Please show us both httpd.conf and httpd-vhosts.conf completely. Do not modify any lines, simply copy & paste the contents here.

As i made some changes (still trying to achieve the same goal) Apache no longer crashes but now I get the following message, on both the working website and the one I am trying to add.
So I removed the script on httpd-vhosts.conf again, now the original site works, the second only if I point to the folder it resides in.

Sorry, you might know what you are thinking, i do not. I dont know which changes you made (i have never seen them) so i dont know which you removed. And then again did. Or not, or what, or or? And what is www.timberwolfstudios.ca? Is that your local Xampp installation??

Please try again, nobody understands what you are doing there, if you really need help, please explain more precisely. Anyway, if you have an Error 500, there *should* be an error message in your error log. Please edit your error log and look for error messages.

I don't know if I can help you, at the moment your explanations are quite chaotic and not incomprehensible. Never forget that we don't know or see anything about your computer and that we don't know anything about what you have changed and what you haven't. You did something and undone something. Aha.

The changes are I had to remove the script from my httpd-vhosts.conf in order to get the website www.timberwolfstudious.ca up and running again.
Unsaid in my first and second post is my root directory is in "timberwolf" also where www.timberwolfstudious.ca has its wordpress files.
The files for the website www.jlsreport.com are in the root "timberwolf" in a subfolder called "jls"

Once i removed the above script, "www.timberwolfstudious.ca" works once again as a website, however my hope in adding a second website failed, even though "www.jlsreport.com/jls" works.
If I only put "www.jlsreport.com" it redirects to "www.timberwolfstudious.ca"

Those links are working if you want to see what it is doing.
As for error log, I did look in both website in the wp-content and found no debug or error log (my ignorance maybe, where should I be looking?

I have still no idea, whether you are running a PC at home with Xampp, or if you are running an online server in the internet via any webhoster? What is http://www.timberwolfstudious.ca, what kind of server is it?

Sorry, yes I am running a Xampp server at home on a windows 10 installation. "http://www.timberwolfstudious.ca" Is a photo website using both Wordpress and Piwigo.

Why are you running a home server online? Xampp is not designed for Online access, it is unsafe. Someone could hack your server, thats quite easy.
At next, there are plenty of webhosters, that provide cheap webspace including runtime support 24/7. What are you doing if your server goes down and you are on vacation somewhere in the world?
Finally, a webhoster would configure your server in order to serve VirtualHosts as many as you want, You dont need to struggle with the configuration of a webserver, what actually is a sophisticated task for an educated Administrator. Your knowledge is so small, you even dont know where to find the Apache error log (the most important file in your environment). It is stored in c:/xampp/logs and is called error_log or error.log. You can edit it and look for usefull messages. Same for the access log.

And (last not least) your home server will cost you definitely more than a hosted space, as your PC consumes way to much power.

I am running it online, because I want to, if someone hacks me, no big deal, I was hacked when I was on Hostmonster as well, its not a business site, its a hobby. If it goes down,no big deal, it goes down, I do backups myself. I don't need to be sold on the virtues a a host provider, I did that for 15 years, now I am choosing to run my own server. If you can help, please do so, if you cannot, why are you here?

As for costing me more than hosted space you are dead wrong, as verified by my digital wattmeter, you sound like a sales agent for a commercial host. I simply am asking, trying to learn as a hobby, I am as a 65 year old I don't need someone giving me the gears on what I choose to do, if you can help, I appreciate it, if your just here to give me a hard time, I don't appreciate it.

Maybe due to my lack of knowledge on the subject I asked the wrong question.
I have a desktop I am using as a server, this is a just for fun project.
I have Xampp installed, i have WordPress installed in a folder called "timberwolf"
I made that folder the root folder
Inside that folder I created another WordPress website (because I am trying to avoid using multi-site)
The first website works live (yes i know the risks) www.timberwolfstudios.ca
The second WordPress inside the "timberwolf" folder is a folder caller "jls"

Now here is what works and what does not www.timberwolfstudios.ca works perfectly
www.jlsreport.com/jls works perfectly
Its www.jlsreport.com that does not, it reverts by redirect to www.timberwolfstudios.ca

As i said I am no expert, just someone seeking help trying to make a second domain work.
If anyone can help me I sure would appreciate it.
