Hi there,

After configuring all the config files thru xampp control panel ... still the security screen does not point on the right mysql port.
In fact security.php and xamppsecurity.php are both written with a 3306 port hardcoded in file so that they are not checking the good thing !
We should rely on the mysql config file rather than harcoded values especially when we are not using default port ...

That was my one cent contribution

Hi,

These old scripts are removed in XAMPP versions for at least 3 years now.
They are buggy and produced issues you never had without them.

Thanks for your answer ... at some point I installed the very last version since I need the php 7 for mediawiki and obvioulsy ... the old scripts no longer exist
