Hi,

Copying the entire mysql data folder might work in some cases, but especially if the gap of the versions is to big this can fail.
The better way would be to cleanly export your databases from your old xampp version and import it to the new one.

I have tried to copy the entire xamp folder several times as you said it to the folder ... and it did not work, as I have 3 large databases in this situation I tried to do it several times reinstalling everything again folders and the error remains, unfortunately I was trying to access the banks to make the backups by exporting the tables to the sql, when it gave the problem, very complicated my situation. I'll try to see if I can access the generated .frm and ibd files from the bank in testo format or convert the files to testo format, I never did or do I know if I can

i don't understand which problems you have had. Without knowing any error messages or descriptions about this issues i cannot identify them.
Anyways in most cases it works to copy the entire xampp folder and run the setup_xampp.bat script to fix the paths.
Of cause the needed ports most be free too.
