Strange delay in page refresh with GET variables

I have this strange situation. After copying the my-huge.ini to my.ini settings in the MySQL settings everything started to work fast and fluid BUT...
When I try to refresh a page with some GET variables it takes more than 10s to load.
When you navigate to another page and then call directly the page with the variables link the page loads fast as hell. But if you refresh the page (same link with GET variables) goes back to 10+ seconds.
If you remove the query from the link loads again super fast.
Any ideas? is killing me because is an administration page and every button refreshes pashing parameters so it takes ages to test.
