Xampp - Simultaneous request long delayed

I have a doubt.
Sometimes I notice that my apache server can not handle more than one request at a time. Sometimes when more than one person tries to access my server, it seems like loading pages is slow.
I ask:
Is there a configuration parameter within xampp to improve the speed or performance in more than 1 simultaneous access?
