Hi,

I don't know if exists a similar topic about it, but any chance to create a Xampp for Windows version in 64 bit?

I see the mac and linux there are 64 bit already, but... why not Windows edition?

Tons of.

What for? What does not work in your development? Which problem do you have, which can only be solved by 64bit version?

Really? Searching for "x64", "64 bits" or "64b" produces zero applicable hits.

I think the OP's question is a perfectly legitimate one, regarding that for the other OSs there is an x64 version. So why not for Windows?

Well, for me, mainly that the 32-bit Tomcat requires me to install a 32 bit JRE for it to run as a service. Unfortunately that means I have to install an extra JRE, as I normally use Java 10 JDK, which only comes in 64 bit.

I am also looking forward for 64-bit Windows version of it.

Short:
Bitnami dropped support for 32 bit Linux XAMPP versions to reduce development time.
So there is only one bit compilation for each operating system released.

Between Windows and Linux there are some differences.
On Windows 64 bit you can run 32 bit applications without the need for any change.
Windows 32 Bit has still a significant market share especially in enterprise segments

There are only very few situations for a local test and development environment you will get to a limitation of a 32 bit XAMPP version.
